FASHION SHOW
On the 50th anniversary of ICEBERG, I would like to personally thank Sig.ra Giuliana Marchini Gerani and Sig. Silvano Gerani, Gilmar Founders and the creative visionary Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, who along with Giuliana started the ICEBERG journey. A special thanks to all the designers, creatives, and members of the Gilmar team who have been instrumental in these extraordinary 50 years of fashion” says James Long, creative director of ICEBERG. Fresh energy forever: colour, clarity and positivity is the ICEBERG attitude for spring/summer 25. It’s about celebrating the 50th anniversary of the brand by looking forward, which has been the ICEBERG pointof-view from the very beginning. City streamline meets sporty, with every single day about dressing and living with optimism.
Lightweight reversible city macs are bonded from two layers of raw cut poplin, one layer camel, the other a pop of colour like bitter orange or ICEBERG blue. These are worn with matching wraparound miniskirts for women, shorts for men. Masculine tailored shirts are cut sharp, buttoned to the neck and in crisp white or blue and yellow. Acid colour suede dresses bring the summer to the city, cut low to a peephole neckline with a branded metal plate, floor-length with a slit. Rib knit dresses are held by straps that cross at the back and hold a peephole neck at the front, the dress finishing just below the knee. Short sleeve polos and long-sleeve polo dresses are knitted in a wide technical sports mesh. Mohair mesh sweaters are worn over bikinis for summer punks. Suede shirts in acid tones are just oversized enough to be worn like a dress, or, for men, matched with camel pinstripe linen pants or tailored shorts.
Safari jackets are neat and fitted, cut from gaberdine, finishing just below the hips. Mini trenches are coated and worn like a dress. Coated pencil skirts take their buttoning detail from the trench. City coats with double pockets come in camel or popping colour, worn over bandeau tops, miniskirts or pencil skirts. For men, broad stripe colour sweaters are tied over technical cotton trenches cut with panels of contrast camel. They are worn over colour block striped shirts that pop with colour. Debuting this season is ICEBERG’s new eyewear collection, produced by AVM 1959 and made in close collaboration with James Long. This first collection is inspired mixed metals in 20th century furniture design, the Iceberg ‘I ’featuring on stems or an integral part of the design. Kitten heels or flats amplify the city-smart energy. Oversized slouchy bags, as well as functional multipocket bags, are in the acid colours of the season.
