ICEBERG PRESENTS: ‘SECRET ICELAND: A SHORT DOCUMENTARY BY YI ZHOU’

“Secret Iceland” is the first road-trip short documentary commissioned by Iceberg, written and directed by Yi Zhou.

Set in Iceland, it depicts a utopian modern tale of four friends travelling towards icy landscapes. In their journey, the four characters represent a different personality: romantic, rock, bohemian and artist.

Far from logos and marketing surrounding daily urban life, it's homage to Iceland, nature, and the essence of love and friendship. In Iceland things still taste simple, pure.

Emotional variation is at the film’s core: a parallelism between human beings and landscapes. Sentiment is juxtaposed with landscape: glaciers, flowers, icebergs, sea, waves, seals, seagulls. A special soundtrack, 5 variations on a theme, has been written specifically for the documentary.

Together with “Breaking the Ice”, the capsule collection for the Italian luxury brand Iceberg, Yi Zhou is expanding her visual and film language ever further.
